In 1 Thessalonians 5:18-23, Apostle Paul gives a strong call to believers. He urges them to be thankful, open to the Holy Spirit, discerning, and holy. This passage invites Christians to live with gratitude, spiritual awareness, and integrity.
Paul says giving thanks in all situations is God’s will. He warns against ignoring the Spirit or prophecies. He also tells us to test everything but hold onto what’s good.
Lastly, he prays for their complete holiness. He asks God to keep their spirit, soul, and body blameless until Jesus returns.

- Verse 23: Paul ends with a blessing. He prays for God’s peace to sanctify believers completely. This includes their spirit, soul, and body, so they can stay blameless until Jesus Christ comes.
This passage calls for thanksgiving, being spiritually alert, discernment, and living a holy life. It prepares us for Christ’s return.

23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
