End your day with this calming night prayer for peace and strength after a stressful day. Surrender your worries to God, find rest in His presence, and trust in His unfailing love. Let His peace fill your heart as you sleep.
Heavenly Father,
As I lay down to rest, I bring before You the burdens of this day. My heart is weary, my mind is restless, and my soul longs for Your peace. Lord, You see the worries that weigh me down—the pressures, the uncertainties, the unspoken fears that linger in my thoughts. I release them to You, trusting that You are greater than any problem I face.
Your Word tells me to cast my anxieties upon You because You care for me (1 Peter 5:7). So tonight, I surrender every stress, every doubt, and every frustration into Your loving hands. Fill me with the assurance that I am not alone, that You are with me, guiding me, strengthening me, and working all things for my good.
Father, calm the storm within me. Replace my anxious thoughts with Your promises of peace. Let Your presence be a refuge where I find rest. Breathe new strength into my weary soul, and remind me that Your grace is sufficient for every challenge I face.
Forgive me if I have worried instead of prayed, if I have tried to control things instead of trusting You. Teach me to lean on You fully, to walk by faith, and to rest in the knowledge that You are in control.
Tonight, I choose to let go of what I cannot change. I choose to rest in Your love. I choose to trust You. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Thank You, Lord, for watching over me. I lay my burdens at Your feet and embrace the rest You offer. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“
